This certified organic cypress essential oil is steam-distilled from the needles and young twigs of Cupressus sempervirens — the Italian or Mediterranean cypress — cultivated without synthetic pesticides or herbicides in Spain. One of the most mythologically rich trees in the ancient world, cypress was associated with mourning and immortality in Greek culture, used by Phoenicians and Egyptians for shipbuilding and sarcophagi, and immortalised in the paintings of Van Gogh. Its botanical name Sempervirens means ‘live forever’. Organic certification ensures the oil’s clean, fresh, woody character is delivered without agrochemical interference.

Scent Profile

Middle to base note. Fresh, woody, and slightly spicy with a clean, resinous depth. Grounding and emotionally clarifying — the aromatic character of the ancient Mediterranean cypress grove, in its purest organic form.
