About Heart Notes

Heart Notes was founded in Birmingham on a simple observation: we remember how something smells long after we’ve forgotten the label on the bottle.

Our name comes from perfumery, where the heart notes are what remain once the first impression fades. For us, it’s a way of thinking about scent beyond that first moment: how it settles into a room, becomes familiar, and finds a place in everyday life.

What we do

We focus on home fragrance and personal care, including candles and diffusers. We’re drawn to the small details that make a space feel more like your own: a scent that welcomes you home, a candle lit at the end of the day, a familiar part of your morning routine.

Our approach is simple. Scent shouldn’t need an occasion. It can be part of the ordinary moments you look forward to.

How we work

Heart Notes currently curates products from established suppliers, chosen for quality, consistency and how well they suit the calm, considered home we want to help create.

We want to help you find something that belongs in your space and suits the way you live, whether you’re exploring a different fragrance or returning to something familiar.

What’s next

Our long-term ambition is to move from curating to creating: developing original Heart Notes products with a scent direction of our own. For now, our focus is on building Heart Notes thoughtfully, through the products we offer and the experience we give our customers.
